The Bomber Command Museum celebrates 30 years of reminding Canadians of our history and their sacrifice. 419 Squadron "The Moose Men" commemorate their 75th anniversary and the 537 air crew lost during the war. CT-155 Hawk fly past. |

FM159 Celebrates her 70th Birthday

A night run, and a full day of run ups. Special guest Bob Peterson celebrates his 90th birthday by demonstrating the rear turret. His son Sol Peterson from New Zealand plays his song "Let Me Make It Through Tonight" live. Lt. Col Terry Chester (Ret.) relates tales of FM159's service at Comox. Lucky Lancaster book launch. |
Bikes And Bombers 2015 | July 4, 2015 Over 100 motorcyles and riders fill the hangar and the north field. Guests of honour include Cy Campbell 409 Sqn Lancaster rear gunner, Henry Jackson with 33 missions in Lancasters, and Keith Stephens, A/C Fitter. |
May 10, 2015 A large crowd attended the gala dinner and live and silent auctions. The highlight of the event was the signing of the 25 year lease for the expansion site. A unique range of collectibles and experiences were auctioned in a lively and entertaining evening. A night run of FM159 in the early spring darkness capped off the evening. |

August 19/20, 2014 Commemorating the sinking of the German battleship Tirpitz by 617 Dam Busters Squadron using the Tall Boy bomb. Author Martin Middlebrook tells the tale of the ill-fated Nuremburg Raid, March 30/31 1944. The most costly raid in Bomber Command history. |

Ted Barris tells the true tale of the Great Escape March 22/23 1944, FM159 Run Ups Night and Day. The Fleet Fawn is run up during an event for the first time. Falcon Industries is recognized by Halifax 57 Rescue for their donation of the trailer. First Special Service Brigade Re-Enactors perform. |

Presented by Dr. Stephane Guevremont. Lt. Col. Grover presented the Museum with a loan of the Mynarski Axe. Special Guests F/L Cliff 'Blackie' Black DSO and Bob Petersen were recognized. |

Dedication of FM159 as Ian Willoughby Bazalgette VC Ddedication | May 24, 2014 FM-159 gets a new fuselage decal commemorating Ian Willoughby Bazalgette, Alberta's only Victoria Cross winner in World War II. FM159 wears F2-T, Bazalgette's designation.
